Updated Advisory in Time Limit For Reporting E-Invoice On IRP Portal
On April 13 2023, the GSTN Portal has issued updated advisory in relation to reporting of E-Invoices on IRP Portal for the entities having AATO exceeding Rs. 100 Crores. Key Highlights form the same can be referred from below major points:
1. The tax payer covered in the above category will not be allowed to report E-Invoice older than 7 days on the date of reporting.
For Example, if the tax invoice is prepared on 14th April 2023, it must be reported on IRP Portal on or before 21st April 2023 and after which the portal will not allow to report the said invoice.
2. The above is applicable for all the document types for which IRN is to be generated. Debit/Credit note will also have to be reported on IRP Portal within 7 days of the date of issue.
3. It is further mentioned that, this reporting restriction is not applicable to the taxpayers with AATO less than Rs. 100 Crores.
4. This update is applicable from 1st May 2023 onwards, as it requires time to make necessary changes in accounting softwares and to provide sufficient time to taxpayers to comply with the requirements.
